John Wilters, MD – Founder and Chief Executive Officer

John is an OB-GYN physician, entrepreneur and author. He has managed his own private practices for over 20 years while building numerous companies and publishing and presenting his research nationally. He has served in leadership roles within Centennial Medical Center; most recently as President of the Medical Staff and Head of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. John’s business experience has primarily focused on founding and developing hospitalist programs. He is also a fully certified Six Sigma Black Belt. John’s varied background as a medical specialist, business leader and quality expert brings a invaluable experience set to United Telehealth as the company develops programs for hospitals. He is a member of The American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, American Society for Quality (ASQ), American Board of Quality Assurance & Utilization Review Physicians. John received his medical and undergraduate degrees from University of Alabama in Birmingham. He also has an MBA from the School of Business, University of Miami. John lives in Nashville with his wife and two daughters.

Sami Ismail, MD – Founder

Sami is a practicing neonatologist with over 30 years experience providing expert, specialist care for patients and their families. He is also an accomplished businessman, having formed and sold numerous ventures within and outside of healthcare. He founded IVWU, which provides fetal and women’s ultrasound services, and he serves on the board of Neobest, a company that provides infant formulas to third world countries. Additionally, Sami recently started Mid-Tennessee Neonatology Associates and served as Director of the Newborn Intensive Care Unit at Centennial Medial Center. He completed his medical training at Aleppo University, Syria and then his pediatric residency at Wilmington Medical Center with a neonatal fellowship at the Medical College of Virginia. Sami is the proud father of three daughters and resides in Nashville.

Drew Nord – Founder and Chief Operating Officer

Drew brings a rich and diverse operations and executive management skillset to our leadership team. He began his career with Phillips & Brooks/Gladwin, Inc., an international manufacturer of telecommunications equipment and then spent two years as an attorney representing Columbia/HCA after graduating law school. In 2001, Drew was recruited to cigar maker CAO International, Inc. As COO, he was responsible for transforming the company’s supply chain, inventory and delivery operations to allow for extensive growth. During his tenure managing a supply chain stretching from Asia to Central America to Europe, CAO grew from $8M to over $25M revenue in less than 5 years. In 2005, Drew was recruited as President and COO of healthcare startup, SourceMark, a national medical surgical supply manufacturer and distributor, to lead the management team and manage the company’s operations from its inception. In late 2007, Harpeth Financial Services, the largest retail financial services provider in Middle Tennessee, brought Drew in as COO to manage over 120 employees across 23 locations, to establish critical operational procedures and technologies, and to handle the company’s extensive growth. Since 2009, Drew has served as Principal of Drew Nord Consulting, bringing process improvement, project management and strategic planning services to national and global companies. Drew is a graduate of Emory University and Samford University’s Cumberland School of Law. He is a native of Nashville, TN, where he lives with his wife and two children.

Will Campbell – Chief Development Officer

Will is a healthcare executive with over 20 years working in hospital leadership and healthcare services. He has broad business development experience working with hospitals, physicians, ancillary services, and medical equipment. Will brings proven leadership to our team with a special focus on delivering clear and measurable value to our client partners. Most recently Will served as Executive Vice President of Business Development at American Endoscopy Services (AES), a laparoscopic surgery company he helped to build from start-up to $25M/yr revenue. At AES he built partnerships with hospitals throughout the US, led the company’s sales and marketing strategy, and built a national team of business development VP’s and distributor partners. Prior to AES, he served for several years as Physician Development Manager at HCA Healthcare Corporation. Will has also served as a business development consultant to other healthcare services companies. Earlier in his career he held sales leadership roles with two healthcare supply and equipment companies in Virginia. Will is a graduate of the University of Richmond. He is a Nashville native where he lives with his wife and two children.

Deb Gott – Director of Program Management

Deb brings more than twenty years’ experience in health services administration to the team. Most recently she was responsible for bringing up a statewide telehealth network of patient and provider sites.  Working with community health centers, academic medical centers, behavioral health organizations and universities, she has created a network that has provided more than 5,000 patient encounters and provider and staff educational opportunities since 2009.  Deb received her undergraduate in Business Administration & Economics from Milligan College and went on to earn her Masters in Health Services Administration from Virginia Commonwealth University.  Serving in such roles as CEO, CFO, Practice Administrator and Executive Director, she possesses a comprehensive knowledge of the health care industry.  She has written several grants resulting in funding of more than $4 million with her more recent projects focused on telehealth and electronic health records.  She is keenly interested in how technology can be utilized to increase access to services while lowering system costs.   Born and raised in the Appalachian region, Deb lives in the mountains near Asheville, NC with her husband, Rick.
