John Wilters

John Wilters, MD

CEO & CMO

John is an OB-GYN physician, entrepreneur and author. He has managed his own private practices for over 20 years while building numerous companies and publishing and presenting his research nationally. He has served in leadership roles within Centennial Medical Center; most recently as President of the Medical Staff and Head of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

John’s business experience has primarily focused on founding and developing hospitalist programs. He is also a fully certified Six Sigma Black Belt. John’s varied background as a medical specialist, business leader and quality expert brings a invaluable experience set to United Telehealth as the company develops programs for hospitals.  John is a member of the American Society for Quality (ASQ), received his medical and undergraduate degrees from University of Alabama in Birmingham, and completed his OB GYN training at the University of Miami’s Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, FL.  He also has an MBA from the School of Business, University of Miami.  John lives in Nashville with his wife and two daughters

Sami Ismail

Sami Ismail, MD

VP Clinical Affairs & NICU / Nursery Medical Director

Sami is a practicing neonatologist with over 30 years experience providing expert, specialist care for patients and their families.  He is also an accomplished businessman, having formed and sold numerous ventures within and outside of healthcare.  He founded IVWU, which provides fetal and women’s ultrasound services, and he serves on the board of Neobest, a company that provides infant formulas to third world countries.

Additionally, Sami recently started Mid-Tennessee Neonatology Associates and served as Director of the Newborn Intensive Care Unit at Centennial Medial Center.  Sami is the 2017 recipient of the Frist Humanitarian Award for HCA. He completed his medical training at Aleppo University, Syria and then his pediatric residency at Wilmington Medical Center with a neonatal fellowship at the Medical College of Virginia. Sami is the proud father of three daughters and resides in Nashville.

Larry Garrett

CFO

As an experienced CEO and CPA, and veteran of our country’s armed services, Larry brings a deep understanding of problem-solving to our business and it’s operations.  He oversees our organization’s ongoing financial operations and is responsible for implementing financial strategies, plans and procedures.  Additionally, Larry’s role includes preparing annual budgets, setting comprehensive growth goals, and evaluating performance data and metrics.

Deb Gott

Deb Gott, MSHA

VP of Operations

Deb brings a wide range of experience in health services administration to the team.  Serving in such roles as CEO, CFO, VP, Practice Administrator and Executive Director in both the non-profit and for-profit sectors, she possesses a comprehensive knowledge of the health care industry.  Working with community health centers, prestigious academic medical centers, health systems, behavioral health organizations, universities and physician specialists, she has created telehealth networks that have provided more than 30,000 patient encounters and provider and staff educational opportunities.  Deb received her undergraduate in Business Administration & Economics from Milligan University and went on to earn her Masters in Health Services Administration at Virginia Commonwealth University/Medical College of Virginia.
